  From my depths I have awaited an inner cleansing
     a renewal of self…
Along you crept, in without a moment’s notice
     disguised as my secret vulnerability…
     my silent fear…
     my cultural conflict…
     my shift in values.
All of this seemed somehow appropriate
     in some way predictable.
I laugh at my past list of choices for soul mate…
     the limits I placed on my expression of self…
     a spirit uniting with my own.
How was I to know that such inner joy would spring
     from an encounter so cosmically planned.

My distant feelings…
     similar to those you questioned within yourself…
     strengthened and enriched the very truths we once avoided.
Now we experience physical distance
     and it is through this
     we shall realize our true union with Self…
     and therefore, one another.
My guides are smiling, as I am sure yours are…
      for the obstacles and limits we encounter
     will only lead us to the Light…
     if we choose to confront them.

Our re-union is that dance between two spirits…
     whole unto themselves…
     connecting with an energizing force…
     transcending all earthly limits…
     fusing together their essence…
     in fulfilling their Divine purpose.
